1. Description of Service

Kinnauri Translator is an AI-powered language platform dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Kinnauri language of Himachal Pradesh, India. Our services include:

  • Hindi-to-Kinnauri and English-to-Kinnauri AI translation.
  • Kinnauri text-to-speech (TTS) audio generation.
  • AI-assisted Kinnauri song lyrics and poetry creation.
  • A growing Kinnauri–Hindi–English dictionary.
  • Educational blog articles about the Kinnauri language, culture, and AI technology.
  • Community contributions to expand the Kinnauri digital vocabulary.

The Service is provided through a combination of AI language models (including Google Gemini, OpenAI, and Groq APIs) and our proprietary database of Kinnauri words and phrases.

2. User Accounts

2.1 Registration

Some features of the Service require you to register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration.
  • Keep your account credentials (email and password) confidential.
  • Notify us immediately at info@bolkinnauri.in if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

2.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without prior notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or engaged in fraudulent, abusive, or harmful behaviour.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You must NOT:

  • Submit content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or violates any applicable law.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our AI models, algorithms, or source code.
  • Use the Service to generate spam, misinformation, or malicious content.
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from our website without written permission.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its servers.
  • Use the Service to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party.
  • Impersonate any person, entity, or organisation.
  • Use automated tools or bots to interact with the Service without prior consent.
  • Submit any personally identifiable information of a third party without their consent.

4. AI-Generated Translations — Accuracy Disclaimer

The translations, lyrics, and text generated by Kinnauri Translator are produced using artificial intelligence and are provided "as is" for informational and educational purposes only.

AI-generated translations may contain errors, omissions, or culturally inaccurate expressions. Kinnauri is a low-resource language and AI models may not always produce perfect results.

We strongly recommend that translations of critical or sensitive content (e.g., medical, legal, governmental) be reviewed by a qualified human translator or native Kinnauri speaker before use. Kinnauri Translator accepts no liability for decisions made based on AI-generated translations.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Content

All content on Kinnauri Translator — including but not limited to the website design, logo, source code, blog articles, database content, and AI-generated outputs — is owned by or licensed to Kinnauri Translator and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

5.2 Your Content

By submitting text for translation, posting comments, or contributing dictionary entries, you grant Kinnauri Translator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, store, display, and process your submitted content for the purposes of providing and improving the Service.

You retain ownership of your original content. You represent that you have the right to submit such content and that it does not violate any third-party rights.

5.3 Community Contributions

Kinnauri word and phrase contributions submitted by users help expand our language database. By contributing, you agree that your submissions may be used to train and improve our AI translation models, with the goal of preserving the Kinnauri language for future generations.

6. Subscription Plans and Payments

Kinnauri Translator offers both free and premium subscription plans:

  • Free Plan: Limited daily translation characters and feature access.
  • Premium Plans: Higher usage limits, priority processing, and access to advanced features.

Payments are processed securely by our designated payment gateway. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

  • Subscription fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable unless required by law.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing date.
  • We reserve the right to modify pricing with at least 30 days' notice.
  • In the event of non-payment, your account may be downgraded to the free plan.

7. Advertising

Kinnauri Translator displays third-party advertisements provided by Google AdSense and potentially other advertising networks. By using the Service, you acknowledge that:

  • Advertisements are provided by third parties and Kinnauri Translator does not endorse or control their content.
  • Google may use cookies to serve personalised ads based on your browsing history.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising via Google's Ad Settings.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kinnauri Translator and its operators, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Loss of profits, data, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunities.
  • Damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.
  • Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-generated translations or content.
  • Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data or transmissions.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
  • AI translations will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific purpose.
  • Any defects in the Service will be corrected.

10. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

Kinnauri Translator integrates with and may link to third-party services and websites. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of such third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

Third-party AI providers we use include Google (Gemini), OpenAI, and Groq. Translation requests are processed through their APIs and are subject to their respective terms of service.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for:

  • Violation of these Terms.
  • Engaging in harmful, fraudulent, or illegal activity.
  • Extended periods of account inactivity (over 12 months).

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Himachal Pradesh, India.
